A suspect wanted for a Las Vegas homicide was shot by a Los Angeles police officer in Anaheim on Tuesday, officials confirmed.

At about 9:56 a.m. the an FBI multiagency task force received a lead about a 24-year-old homicide suspect in the area of G.G. Nursery and Flower Shop, located at 2715 W. Broadway, the Anaheim Police Department reported.
When officers confronted the suspect he was armed with a garden tool and was combative, police said.
"They deployed a taser that was ineffective, at which point he lunged at the officers and an officer-involved shooting occurred," LAPD Lt. Chris Ramirez told KTLA.
The suspect, identified as Oscar Ramirez, was shot once in the shoulder by an LAPD officer who was working with the FBI multiagency fugitive task force, Ramirez said.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he underwent surgery, police said.
On Tuesday evening officials said the suspect was listed in stable condition.
The suspect was wanted for a homicide that occurred in Las Vegas in September where a man was shot several times at close range, according to Las Vegas police.
Traffic on Broadway Avenue, between Dale and Magnolia avenues, was temporarily closed in both directions while investigators were on scene.
The FBI multiagency fugitive task force involves the LAPD and the Department of Corrections, Ramirez said.
The shooting remains under investigation by LAPD.
