A woman fatally shot in an Anaheim Hills park, allegedly by her estranged husband, was identified Friday, when police said the couple had three children.
Claudia Espino Garcia, a 32-year-old resident of Tustin, died after being shot in Peralta Canyon Park on Thursday afternoon, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Daron Wyatt.
The shooting caused a nearby school — Crescent Elementary — to go on lockdown just as parents were coming to pick up students. Several children witnessed the shooting, Wyatt said.
The victim was found seated in the driver’s seat of a white sedan, suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Humberto Servin, 49, of Orange was taken into custody about 15 minutes after officers were called to the scene. Witnesses described him and his vehicle, and he was stopped in his pickup truck in the parking lot of a police substation, Wyatt said.
A firearm was found in Servin’s vehicle, and it will be tested to determine if it was the weapon used to kill Garcia, the sergeant said.

The couple were married but estranged and had three children together, Wyatt said. The details of their estrangement and length of their relationship were under investigation.
The children have been put into the custody of Orange County Social Services. Their ages and genders are not being released.
Students who witnessed the shooting will receive counseling, if needed, police said.
Servin is being held on $1 million bail, police said. His booking photo was released Friday.
